Review by Martha Robinson

How to Write an Autobiography is designed for teens to take an assessment of where they are in life. Designed as a unit study, this "how-to" book gives step-by-step instructions beginning with the title and working through making a coat of arms, writing descriptions, recalling memories, and finding photographs. Throughout the program, teens are encouraged by Bible verses and notations reminding them how special and blessed they are. The book concludes with a lengthy, sample autobiography.

Recommendation: How to Write an Autobiography is an outstanding way to get in touch with teens at home or in a youth group. It offers a method for young people to regain some of the self-worth that is so often eroded during the teen years. The program could be done in just a couple weeks or could be stretched out for a longer period of time.
